Dear Parishioners and Friends,
Every year we used to organize our Annual Polish Dinner in October. Because of the coronavirus pandemic we could not organize it last year 2020. So, we decided to have at least a fundraiser by selling raffle tickets and raise money for the improvements at our church. You can win $2,000 (1st prize) or $700 (2nd) or $300 (3rd). Like never before we need your support during this crazy pandemic time. In my letter to you from September 2019 regarding polish dinner I wrote that "we are planning to replace cooling system (AC) in the church. But because of many problems with the leaking of church roof, last summer we replaced the roof on our beautiful church. We still need to replace gutters. So, all the proceeds from selling the raffle tickets will go towards a new AC system in the church. I'm thankful for all your donations towards our projects through the weekly collections, special donations, etc.
Enclosed with this letter is one booklet of 10 raffle tickets at $5.00 a piece for total contribution of $50.00. I hope many of you will buy one or more booklets with raffle tickets and in this way support and make donation to our parish community.
This is also a great opportunity for non- regular contributors to St. Mary Church to make a difference by supporting this fundraiser. You can return your ticket stubs and payment by putting it in the collections baskets or send it to the rectory office.
The raffle drawing will be held at 5:00pm on March 6, 2021 in the Parish Hall.
From the bottom of my heart I wish to thank you for your participation.
God bless you all
Fr. Richard Sliwinski (Pastor)
Have a Blessed and Happy New Year 2021, without COVID-19. Amen.
Ps,
State law requires that you return all unused tickets. But I hope you will use them all. Thanks.
Lord Jesus Christ, our Divine Physician,
We ask you to guard and protect us from
Coronavirus COVID-19 and all serious
Illness. For all that have died from it, have
Mercy; For those that are ill now, bring
Healing. For those searching for a remedy,
Enlighten them; for medical caregivers
helping the sick, strengthen and shield
Them. For those working to contain the
spread, grant them success; for those
afraid, grant peace. May your precious
blood be our defense and salvation. By
your grace, may you turn the evil of
disease into moments of consolation and
hope. May we always fear the contagion
of sin more than any illness. We abandon
ourselves to your infinite mercy. Amen.
